The UTL_DISTRICTS feature class maps the boundaries of Municipal Utility Districts (MUDs) and similar entities located outside the City of Fort Worth’s corporate limits. These are governmental entities created under Texas law, endowed with the authority to provide essential services such as water, wastewater, drainage, and other infrastructure to support development.

Many of these districts operate within Fort Worth’s Extraterritorial Jurisdiction (ETJ) and are subject to City review and policy guidelines. This layer supports annexation review, infrastructure coordination, and long-range planning efforts.
